I couldn't seem to find anything that looked good that didn't cost between $100-$200. The look of the peppers and the price seemed right so I decided to order them. They don't mention this in the description but you also get a nice carrying case that is made of semi-rigid material covered in a synthetic fabric. The carrying case also has a hook that you can use to latch onto an article of clothing or backpack so you wont' lose them (like my last part of sunglasses). Also included is a microfiber cloth to clean your lenses.Performance-wise, these shades are great! Cuts all glare while retaining resolution (as any good pair of polarized shades should do). The brown lense makes for a great driving lense, as well as a great recreation lense. The stylish frame is a dark brown, which I was hoping for when I placed order. I stopped wearing my wrap around Oakleys in favor of the Peppers, if that give you any indication of the qaulity. A 35 dollar price point makes this purchase a no brainer.I hope this helps, Paddy O Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pepper's Men's Half Life Sport Polarized Sunglasses (Apparel) I like the look and feel of these sunglasses, but function is most important to me. I live in Miami, so sunglasses are a year-round necessity. The gray lenses are excellent in direct sunlight, they fit snug, are comfortable and don't move regardless of the activity. When you fold the temples, they tend to stay folded so if I attach them to the outside of my backpack and forget to take them off, they don't disappear. They stay hooked to the collar of my shirt relatively well. When they do fall, they don't scratch too easily. I don't notice the light scratches that are there when I wear them, and I have better than 20/20 vision. I keep them in my backpack when not in use with pens, reflex hammers, coins, basically random metal stuff and they are fine. I've dropped them several times and the frames receive most of the impact. The peppers emblem wants to pop out on one side, but it push it back in and it has never disappeared. I like them better than my basic entry-level Oakley's,... Read more |
